Honey Toast

The dessert Honey Toast has been really popular in my native country. I just found out there is a store selling honey toast in San Gabriel Valley, so my friend and I give them a try. The store was really busy. Maybe it's memorial weekend. They sell drinks, cakes, and breads there. After we ordering the honey toast, they kept us waiting for more than 30 mins. It's such a long wait. Especially when I saw people have their orders on their table.

Here is our Honey Toast!! It's green tea red bean flavor. It's a little bit sweet for the chocolate part, but the toast taste not bad.
Here is the strawberry one. They all look fancy!!

Half & Half Tea House

Half and Half is one of my favorite tea house. It is just like a coffee shop in U.S. They sells drinks with boba, pudding, grass jelly, and coconut jelly. I always order milk with boba and pudding. They make the ice into slush and add to milk and with boba and pudding at the bottom. Then I stir them all together, I taste the brown suger and the milk mix together. It's yummy!!!

Macaroon

By reading my blogs, you might know I love sweets.  Macaroon is one of the dessert I love. I went to Paulette and bought 6 pieces of macaroon. It taste so good but pricy. For me only two bites then one macaroon is gone. Hence, my friend and I were thinking maybe we should make our own macaroon. So, she looked up the recipe on internet. Then we bought 2 dozen of eggs. Be honest, macaroon is so difficult to make, it took almost 5 hours and forever. The first time we made, we failed! After taking out from the oven, the cover of macaroon cracked. Also, we only found how to chocolate flavor. No wonder macaroon can be pricy because it is so difficult to make. We are thinking to look up more flavor recipes. Hope we can be success next time, just by doing one time!!!

This one bought from the store.

This picture is the one we made! This is the THIRD times we've tried!

Haus Dessert Boutique

Me and my friends are big fans of korean drama. We heard people who work at Haus are cute and handsome, waiters look like korean celebrity. We've been here few times after the first visited. This place serve with cake, coffee, and pasta. It's an asian cafe-like. Something I don't expect here is they also serve wine and beer.  It's a great place to chill. They have big TVs, they play korean pop music/video. Sofas are comfy. Also every table has three little buttons labeled with water, bill, and service. You can press whatever you need and the waiter/waitress comes. It's cool. I like the idea every table has the button, if the waiters not around you, they still know what you need.

Sprinkles Cupcake

I am not a big fan of cupcake but there is always a line for a Sprinkles Cupcake.  So my friends and I waited in line for almost 20 minutes, the cupcake was a little disappointed me! I bought the red velvet and chocolate marshmallow.  Just by seeing the name, I thought chocolate marshmallow cupcake must have marshmallow inside but it turns out only the cake and whipped cream.  Red velvet is delicious and I like the frosting.
There is something special for the Sprinkles Cupcakes which is they have cupcake ATM. The line for cupcake ATM is shorter and is open 24 hrs, the ATM take credit/ debit card, but is 50 cent extra than buy in the store.  It's very convenient, people can buy a cupcake at 2 A.M., if they want some cupcake. The machine only deliver one cupcake at a time. I suggest to wait in line if you want to buy a lot, so don't get charge for many 50 cents extra.

Here is the ATM for cupcake, cupcakes are behind the machine.
Here are the cupcakes we bought.
Here is the video from youtube for Sprinkles ATM

Carmela Ice Cream

I went to a Farmer's Market in South Pasadena with my roommate last thursday.  It was hot in the afternoon, we walked to an ice cream truck, the person who worked there was very nice.  He almost let us tried every flavors on the menu.  Their flavors offered are very different, not like vanilla or mint chocolate, but they have salted caramel, earl grey, rose petal, and lavender honey. Their ice creams are so GOOD but expensive. If you buy their ice cream in the farmer's market, it is cheaper than in the store.  After sampling, I bought one pint of earl grey and salted caramel. I can't stop eating. The salted caramel with really deep caramel and salty and the earl grey flavor stays in your mouth.  I will go farmer's market next time just for the ice cream.

They have one store in Pasadena.
